OREANDA-NEWS. On April 16, 2008 Banco Finantia, BayernLB, Credit Suisse and Fortis Bank SA/NV lauched syndication of the loan for JSC "BPS-Bank" for the amount of USD 40 mln. The loan will be borrowed for the tenor of 1 year with a 1-year extension option at the rate of LIBOR + 3,2% p.a., reported the press-centre of BPS-Bank.

The proceeds are to be utilized to finance trade-related activities of the Bank's customers.

Despite the fact that the transaction was launched in difficult market conditions, JSC "BPS-Bank" officials are confident about its successful close and expect oversubscription of the initially declared amount. Besides, participation of two MLAs new to the Belarusian market (Credit Suisse and Fortis Bank SA/NV acted for the first time as MLAs in such a transaction for a Belarusian bank) will allow to attract the attention of new lenders and provide oversubscription of the initially declared loan amount.
