OREANDA-NEWS. On April 16, 2008 this was declared by the prime minister Zinaida Greceanii during the eighth international conference BIT + "Informational technologies 2008 ".

As she said, introduction of modern informational technologies and communications considerably promotes long-term economic growth of the country. As she said, one of the main tasks of conference is promotion of the best international experience in the field of computer science.

"Alongside with introduction of IT and communications in all sectors of the economy, it is important to define problems existing in this field and methods of their decision", - she emphasized. According to Zinaida Grecianii, national and international estimations have shown that there are all conditions for creation of informational society in Moldova: highly skilled staff, high scientific potential, etc.

As Grecianii said, it is necessary to increase role of IT and communications during reforming central and local public authorities. For this purpose it is necessary to introduce electronic documents and digital signature, to be reoriented on rendering electronic services to citizens and business environment, to provide access of population to electronic services at local, regional and central levels. The prime minister has added, that at the first session of the new government she has addressed to the minister of informational technologies Pavel Buceatchi with the request to present the report on situation in IT field.

According to the minister, digital signature in official correspondence will be launched in the nearest future.
