OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 April 2008 was announced, that JSC "Concern Stirol" in January-March 2008 increased sales volume in terms of money by 42,5% comparing to January-March 2007 to 1 billion 216 million 724 thousands gryvnas.

In particular, the Company during 3 months of 2008 increased sales of ammonia by 13,4% (299 mln. 712 thousands gryvnas), granulated ammonium nitrate by 53,0% (156 mln. 596 thousands gryvnas), sodium nitrate by 60,4% (6 mln. 295 thousands gryvnas), sodium nitrite by 230,9% (5 mln. 506 thousands gryvnas), sulphuric acid by 356,0% (16 mln. 78 thousands gryvnas), pharmaceutical products by 17,5% (17 mln. 868 thousands grv.), polystyrenes by 21,5,1% (91 mln.520 thousands grv), packing materials by 1,8 % (7 mln. 304 thousands grv.). It was also sold urea on the amount of 227 mln. 262 thousands grv. and urea-ammonium nitrate (UAN) solutions on the sum of 40 mln. 462 thousands grv.

During first quarter the Company increased production volumes by 39,1%. It was produced 371 thousands 644 tones of ammonia (+3,6%), 204 thousands 076 tones of urea (+8,5%), 147 thousands 989 tones of ammonium nitrate (+13,1%), 55 thousands 682 tones of urea-ammonium nitrate solutions (UAN) tones (increased 50 times), 4 thousands 361 tones of sodium nitrate (+14,4%), 2 thousands 726 tones of sodium nitrite (+55,4%), 59 thousands 995 tones of sulphuric acid (+80,5%), 11 thousands 147 tones of polystyrenes (+36,2%), 283 mln. 777 thousands pieces of pharmaceutical products (+42,0%), 129 mln. 231 thousands items of packing materials (+17,6%), 301 tones of paint (+25,5%). During these three months the Company also has generated 41 mln. 785 thousands kWt-hour of its own electric power (+67,9%).

On the background of rise of production indicators the Company has decreased natural gas consumption by 25,9 mln. cubic meters.

During period under report it was also increased labour productivity by 26,8% up to 214 548 US dollars per person.

At the same time earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) for first quarter increased by 91,1% up to 151 mln. 286 thousands grv. Earnings before interest and taxation (EBIT) more than doubled by 112,2% up to 119 mln. 904 thousands grv, net profit increased by 96,1% (98 mln. 909 thousands grv), and Free operating cash flow (FOCF) increased more than three times (+ 344,3% comparing to January– March 2007).
