OREANDA-NEWS. April 14, 2008. In March 2008, as a result of transactions external assets of the Bank of Lithuania decreased by LTL 393,4 million to form LTL 15,5 billion at the end of the month, while external liabilities went down by LTL 199,0 million to LTL 146,7 million, reported the press-centre of Bank of Lithuania.

In March, currency in circulation hiked by LTL 35,1 million to LTL 8,7 billion at the end of the month. Meanwhile, resident deposits with the Bank of Lithuania went down by LTL 214,6 million over the month, as a result of transactions, to form LTL 5,5 billion at the end of the month.

Central government deposits decreased as a result of transactions by LTL 79,6 million to LTL 2,6 billion at the end of March, while deposits of other MFIs as a result of transactions declined by LTL 133,6 million to make up LTL 3,0 billion at the end of the month.
