Concern «Stirol» Launched Production of Improved Ammonium Nitrate
OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 April 2008 was announced, that JSC "Concern Stirol" launched production of ammonium nitrate with magnesian additive at granulated ammonium nitrate manufacturing plant "Granas". Designed capacity of this new unit is 710 thousands tones per year.
Ammonium nitrate with magnesian additive has improved physico-chemical properties (average granules hardness is 1,7 kg/granule, average thermal stability (quantity of thermal cycles maintained by granules before their complete destruction) equals to 27).
Conditioning of ammonium nitrate with magnesian additive gives opportunity to maintain 100% friability of product and its storage without caking in bags and in bulk as well as makes fertilizer more transportable.
Above that, special magnesian additive included in ammonium nitrate ekes out magnesium deficiency in soil and facilitates crop yield rise.
