OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 April 2008 was announced, that Chusovoy Metallurgical Works (CMW), Perm Territory, part of the United Metallurgical Company (OMK), summed up the results of its production activity in March and the 1st quarter of 2008.

In March 2008, CMW manufactured 41.1 thousand tonnes of finished steel. In 1Q08, the production of finished steel totaled 121 thousand tonnes – a 17-thousand-tonne (16%) increase as compared with the same period in 2007.

The steel production in March 2008 accounted for 45.1 thousand tonnes. From early 2008, Chusovoy Metallurgical Works produced a total of 132 thousand tonnes of steel, which by 8 thousand tonnes (6%) exceeds the result of the same period in 2007.
