On April 12, 2008 the Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine has formed three privatization lots including integral property complexes of coal industry - OJSC LysychanskVuhillya, SJSC VolynVuhillya with unfinished Mine #10, and the Novopavlivska mine, which may be offered for sale in two months, First Deputy Coal Industry Minister Oleksandr Frantsyshko said.

"The sale of the Novodzerzhynska mine is under consideration," he added, failing to call an exact date of the auction.

Starting prices will be set with regard for the depreciated cost of capital assets, current and non-current assets, in keeping with the specific company balance, Frantsyshko says.

The coal ministry also drafted a concept for the development of coal industry, particularly, outlining the questions of denationalization of coal industry. The concept is being discussed at a local level, and will be examined at a government meeting soon.
