OREANDA-NEWS. On April 10, 2008 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has set in which cases a real customs value of imports is determined, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

The document outlines procedure for calculating the customs value of products to guarantee further taxation at all stages of crossing the border: from registration to admission into territory.

The ground for increasing/decreasing by customs of the cost declared in invoice will be information about production costs (raw materials, assembly units), data of the law-enforcement or taxation agencies, financial establishments, as well as discord between the sums declares and other countries' customs data.

The customs obtained the possibility of comparing the cost declared in invoices with that of similar products that have already undergone due proceedings.

Additional charges to be set in the course of such checks, in customs' opinion, will reduce grey imports.

Earlier, State Customs Service of Ukraine Chair Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi said Ukrainian customs were planning to collect UAH 500 million (UAH 5,05 / USD 1) a day.
