Gomselmash's Export Jumps 7,5 Times in January-March 2008
OREANDA-NEWS. April 07, 2008. In January-March 2008, production corporation Gomselmash exported products at the amount of \\$88,2 million or 7,5 times up over the same period last year, it was learnt from director of the marketing centre of the company Vladimir Frolov.
According to him, the plan of supplies for April shows that this month the company will surpass the same figure for the whole 2007 which made up \\$98 million.
The Russian Federation, Ukraine and Kazakhstan are the main trade partners of Gomselmash. The Belarusian company uses prepayment principle with all its buyers. Nevertheless, the capacities of the company will be loaded completely for the near four months – until the beginning of the harvesting campaign.
“At present we have stopped to accept orders from foreign partners for this period, - Vladimir Frolov noted, - as Gomselmash has to fulfill obligations to provide domestic agricultural producers with machinery”.
In April, Gomselmash intends to launch an assembly production of Gomel combine harvesters at the Kostanai Diesel Works, to produce 10 combine harvesters for the EU member states, to supply equipment to Iran, China and some other regions.
Production corporation Gomselmash is a multi-business producer of machines used to cultivate and harvest basic crops utilising contemporary agrarian technologies. The company’s line-up includes machines for harvesting grain, forage crops, sugar beet, potato, as well as mowers and machines for complex soil cultivation.
The company’s designing, manufacturing and maintenance practices are certified for compliance with the international quality management system ISO 9001-2001. Many times Gomselmash won awards at contests “Belarus Best Products” and “Belarus Best Products in the Russian Federation”. The corporation was established on the basis of Gomselmash plant in 1978. The plant was founded in 1930. At present the company employs over 17,000 people.
