OREANDA-NEWS. April 08, 2008. In 1Q2008, Russian Railways increased loading by 4,1% in average daily terms compared to the same period last year, according to Vladimir Yakunin, President of the Company, reported the press-centre of Russian Railways.

Coal loading increased by 7,2% in average daily terms and construction materials by 12%. The dispatch of cargo in containers had increased by more than 10% since the beginning of the year, said Yakunin.

Passenger traffic during 1Q2008 increased by 1,1% compared to the same period last year.
