OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 April 2008 was announced, that on March 11-14, MIRAX GROUP took part in the MIPIM-2008 International Real Estate Exhibition in Cannes. “Unreal becomes real” – this was the motto the guests saw at the corporate stand located at the very entrance of the Azur Pavillion. But the MIRAX space at the Exhibition was not limited to the stand – on the seafront one could meet charming pregnant girls cuddling miniature models of corporate projects in their MIRAX-logo-decorated prams, and a snow-white MIRAX yacht was riding the waves not far from the bank.

During the first three days the stand hosted presentations of MIRAX’s largest investment projects, meetings with investors and partners. The MIRAX stand was one of the most popular, with lots of people assembled at any time.

Sergey Polonsky, Chairman of MIRAX GROUP’s Board of Directors, held about 35 meetings within three days. Agreements on two new projects were reached. Moreover, an agreement on strategic partnership was signed between MIRAX GROUP and the Government of Montenegro. The parties agreed to undertake joint efforts in order to promote the tourist attractiveness of Montenegro and strengthening the country’s image as a respectable recreation location.

On March 12, the MIRAX yacht hosted a cocktail party which gathered over 70 investment bankers and private investors. People with a joint fortune of about a trillion dollars among them gathered there for a casual chat.

The MIRAX beach party on the last night of the Exhibition stunned the guests with its cosmic scale. Fantastic alien creatures welcomed the guests at the entrance, and refreshments were served on tables made of ice. A grand laser show colored the night sky above the sea. The complimentary speech was made not by a real Polonsky, but by his hologram appearing out of the air. After that the real Sergey Polonsky himself came on stage and asked everybody to feel at home and enjoy themselves.

Summing up the exhibition at the press conference on March 18, Chairman of MIRAX GROUP’s Managing Board Maxim Privesentsev pointed out that MIPIM is the only location visited by investors from all over the world. All Russian investors and the political elite meet there. It is a place where numerous important questions, for which there never seems to be any time in Moscow, can be solved casually.
