OREANDA-NEWS. April 03, 2008. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) imposed administrative penalties under Article 14.3 of the Code of Administrative Violations of the Russian Federation upon "Sem' Dnei [7 Days] Publishing House" CJSC and fined it 40 000 Rubles for violating Part 7 Article 24 of the Federal Law "On Advertising", reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

On 28th February 2008, FAS Russia recognized as improper the advertising article "Sport Without Traumas and Complications", published in №47 "7 Days TV-Programme", 19-25 November 2007, which advertised medical services, offered by the Department of Sport Rehabilitation, of the "Rozdrav Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre" Federal State Institution.

The advertisement informed about a possibility to undergo additional rehabilitative treatment of the traumas in the Rehabilitation Centre, diagnostics, a course of training on special exercise machines, or exercise therapy under a supervision of a personal doctor. The advertisement of treatment methods did not contain a warning about possible counter-indications for their use, and the need to study the treatment management instructions or obtain expert consolations, which violates Part 7 Article 24 of the Federal Law "On Advertising".

Under Part 7 Article 24 of the Federal Law "On Advertising", "7 Days Publishing House" CJSC as an advertiser is liable for the violation.

Under Article 14.3 of the Code of Administrative Violations of the Russian Federation, violation of the advertising legislation by an advertiser is punishable by administrative fines.
