OREANDA-NEWS. April 4, 2008. Russia is inviting Slovakia to join the International Uranium Enrichment Center in Angarsk, Prime Minister of Russia Viktor Zubkov said after his meeting with Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico. Zubkov pointed out that Russia and Slovakia had wide prospects of cooperation in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy. Fico said that Slovakia was ready to cooperate with Russia on the construction of the 3rd and 4th units of Mohovce NPP.

The Angarsk Center is supposed to offer uranium enrichment and nuclear fuel cycle services to countries having no such technologies.

The Center was established by the governments of Russia and Kazakhstan on May 10 2007.
