OREANDA-NEWS. The International Fuel and Energy Association held a gala awards ceremony at the President Hotel on March 26, 2008. The ceremony, during which the association awarded its Nikolai Konstantinovich Baibakov diplomas and medals, was part of the Moscow international forum Energy and Society.

Five Stroytransgaz employees received awards for significant achievements in resolving issues of sustainable development of energy and society: First Vice-President V. N. Babusenko, chief specialist Yu. L. Borisov, Director of the Representative Office of Stroytransgaz in Belarus L. V. Kaminsky, deputy head of the Industrial and Civil Engineering Department A. S. Stolyarov, and head of the company’s Research and Technology Center V. I. Khomenko.
The N. K. Baibakov was established in 2003. Awards are granted annually to outstanding scientists, specialists, entrepreneurs, and public servants who have made the greatest contributions to science, technology, the organization of production, and environment-and-energy effective economic development. Mr. Baibakov was a prominent government and public figure; he chaired the USSR's State Planning Commission.

This is not the first time that Stroytransgaz employees have received this prestigious award. In earlier years, our company’s award winners included such well-know individuals as Yu. P. Batalin, S. K. Arakelyan, V. Y. Lorents, N. I. Kurbatov, A. P. Veselyev, A. S. Gorelov, A. I. Gritsenko, E. A.Lavrentyev, and V. I. Ott.
