The National Bank of Belarus projects that the rate of exchange of the national currency will be Br2100 per US dollar at the end of 2008, Chairman of the Board of the National Bank Piotr Prokopovich said at an opening of the session of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly.

In Q1 2008, the Belarusian ruble strengthened as against US dollar by 0.2% or Br5.

“The national currency will be growing stronger. I think we will reach the rate of exchange of Br2100 by the end of the year,” Piotr Prokopovich said.
