OREANDA-NEWS. On 02 April 2008 was announced, that General Director of IDGC of Centre Evgeniy Makarov appointed Sergey Arhipov to the position of Deputy General Director - Director of branch of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo.

Sergey Aleksandrovich Arkhipov was born on 12 February 1967г in Ust-Nera settlement, the Yakut Soviet Socialist Republic.

In 1990 he graduated from the Alma-Ata Power Industry Institute, Electric Power Faculty majoring in "Electric Systems and Networks".

Mr. Arkhipov was trained in the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation in "Company Development Management".

Prior to his appointment as Director of branch of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo, he occupied the position of first Deputy General Director of JSC Territorial Generating Company No. 8. From August 2006 to June 2007, he worked as Managing Director of JSC Rostovenergo, earlier he held the position of Executive Director of JSC Energosbyt - Rostovenergo.
