OREANDA-NEWS. April 2, 2008. Power Machines and Sumitomo Corporation, Japan, signed a contract for supplies of steel cast sections for turbines production.

Under the terms of the contract Sumitomo Corporation shall supply cast sections of runners (runner crowns and runner bands) by the 1st quarter of the year 2009. The cast sections will be used for production of two hydro turbines of Boguchanskaya HPP. The price of the contract is more than 2 million Euro.

This is not the first project where Power Machines and Sumitomo Corporation cooperate on supplying iron products. Among joint projects are construction of two HPP’s in Vietnam that are Buon Kuop HPP and A Vuong HPP where Sumitomo Corporation supplies equipment for turbine islands on turn-key basis and Power Machines is a subcontractor and supplies turbine equipment and some auxiliary equipment.
