OREANDA-NEWS. Domestic natural gas output went up by 1,9% y/y to 118bn m3 in the first two months of 2008, the EconMin reported on Mar 28.

Out of that, Russia’s gas monopoly Gazprom produced 100,4bn m3, which is a 2,3% y/y increase. In February alone, natural gas output rose by 3,8% y/y to 57bn m3 (out of which 85,3% was produced by Gazprom).

In Jan-Feb domestic gas consumption rose by 5,9% y/y to 96.4bn m3 . Gas exports to non-CIS and CIS countries increased by 35,8% y/y and fell by 23% y/y to 33bn m3 and 7,7bn m3 , respectively.

As reported earlier, according to the data by the Industry and Energy Ministry, Domestic natural gas output went up by 2,9% y/y to 119,35bn m 3 in Jan – Feb 2008.
