Severstal-Metiz Builds Effective Supply Chain
OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2008. The international group of companies "Severstal-metiz” announced the formation of a Commercial Department since the 1st of April, as a result of the merger of three areas: purchases, sales and logistics. The new structure aims to improve cross-functional cooperation in the supply chain between these three areas, reported the press-centre of Severstal-metiz.
Commenting upon the reorganization, Olga Naumova, the CEO of "Severstal-metiz", said: "It is a logical step within the framework of our client-oriented strategy. We wish to create conditions for coordination in the supply chain with a view to improving the service for our clients and increasing their level of satisfaction".
Oleg Veter will be the Head of the Commercial Department. His previous role has been in charge of the purchasing department of "Severstal-metiz". Olga Naumova is sure that Mr Veter will not only provide continuity in business relationship between clients and suppliers, but also will successfully continue the positive initiative aimed at strengthening and developing mutually advantageous cooperation with business partners.
Oleg Kovtonuk has been responsible for the logistics office of "Severstal-metiz". Today he is appointed the Deputy Commercial Director with increased responsibility.
Marina Gerasimova, Marketing and Sales Director, has decided to leave the company to take on fresh challenges outside the industry. Olga Naumova praised the work done by Ms Gerasimova. "Under Marina Gerasimova an effective sales process was built and she successfully led the coordination of the sales function during the growth from one Russian plant to a group of companies trading on an international level. I thank her for contribution to the success of the company and wish her every success in her future career”.
