OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2008. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reported on a meeting of the CIS foreign ministers that examined the implementation of decisions approved at the last CIS summit in Dushanbe and approved a work programme for preparations to celebrate the sixty-fifth anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. Mr Lavrov also reported on a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation’s member countries.

Healthcare and Social Development Minister Tatyana Golikova reported on financial provisions for the state to meet its social commitments to the population.

Agriculture Minister Alexei Gordeyev reported on the spring sowing campaign and harvest plans.

Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin gave clarifications on the mechanisms for transferring funds to the agriculture sector for the sowing campaign.
