OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 April 2008 the new airliner solemnly presented at the Pulkovo airport is the first of three Boeing 767-300ER, which Rossiya will receive in 2008 for the purpose development of long-haul routes.

This modern comfortable liner, one of which characteristics - the increased range of flight (to 11 thousand in km), is calculated on transportation of 304 passengers and will be used by airline for performance of flights to Canary Islands, to Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, India, China and in the Russian cities in the Far East. Use of liners Boeing 767-300ER will allow to develop and such popular directions of South East Asia as Thailand and Vietnam. Development of long-haul routes - one of priority tasks of Rossiya whish is the second appointed carrier from the Russian Federation on the international routes and one of leaders among domestic airlines on volume of the transported passengers. The route network of Rossiya - Russian Airlines includes: 70 points of the Russian Federation, 20 points in seven CIS countries and 35 points in twenty countries far abroad.

Receipt Boeing 767-300ER is carried out within the limits of realisation of Rossiya’ strategy on modernisation of air fleet. Gradually these liners will replace planes Il-86 on long-haul routes. Today, besides a new airliner, in park of Rossiya - five Boeing 737-500, two Airbus A319, twenty two Тu-154М, three Тu-214, four Il-86, four Il-96-300, nine Тu-134, four Yak-40, and also helicopters Mi-8 and EC-145. Within 2008 the airline will receive five Airbus A320.
