SCM Goes on with Consolidation of Telecommunication Assets
OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2008. Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine permits Ucomline Holding Limited (Cyprus) owned by SCM (System Capital Management) Limited (Cyprus) to buy over 50% of authorized stock of DCS Telecommunications Company (Odessa), reported the press-centre of SCM.
At the moment, SCM Group owns 24% of DCS. Once all sale formalities are completed, DCS will become a part of Farlep-Optima Telecom Group. The deal is expected to be finalized within next two months.
Chairman of Supervisory Board of Farlep Invest and Director of Business Development at SCM Ilya Arkhipov said: “We are absolutely sure the new enterprise will successfully integrate in the telecommunication holding Farlep-Optima Telecom. In turn, this will help us improve position of telecommunication businesses of SCM in Ukraine's fixed line market”.
