OREANDA-NEWS.  March 31, 2008. The construction of Bibliotechniy switching substation has started in Novosibirsk. The substation is situated in the territory of Bibliotechnaya electric power substation (Oktyabrsky district), which was reconstructed in 2007.

The new construction was required due to rapidly growing loads in the area covered by Bibliotechnaya electric power substation. With the new switching substation on line, it will be possible to withdraw restrictions for heat and electricity transmission, connect 110kV cable lines to Frunzenskaya substation, distribute the load between the substations equally. As a result, the reliability of power supply for Centralny and Oktyabrsky districts will improve, and new consumers will be connected.  
The design for building Bibliotechniy switching substation was prepared by SibCOTES in 2007. Today, the specialists from our Company, under the guidance of Mr. Denis Savoskin, SibCOTES’ Chief Project Engineer, are providing field supervision services for the construction. Engineering Centre is an EPC Contractor for this project. The Centre constructs a three-storey building for the switching substation and installs equipment. Bibliotechniy switching substation is expected to be online in August 2008.
