OREANDA-NEWS. March 28, 2008. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Bouygues top managers – Vice President Aldo Carbonaro, Regional Projects Director Charles Santer and Commercial Director for Central Asia Aleksey Reshov.

The interlocutors exchanged views on further development of co-operation on the long-term mutually advantageous basis.

The Bouygues top managers reported on the measures taken to eliminate the shortfalls, which the President had pointed out during the recent working trip around the Turkmen capital, and informed of the progress of the new construction projects implemented by the French company. These included a fashionable five-point hotel, which would house the offices of the public organisations, members of the Galkynysh National Movement, the administrative buildings of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, etc.

The French businessmen presented the draft design of the building to house the Institute of International Affairs established in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan and the draft design of the Ashgabat International Airport.

Upon thoroughly considering the draft designs Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on the necessity to accelerate the project and construction works putting emphasis on the high quality of the works performed.

The representatives of the French company assured the President of Turkmenistan that the suggestions and proposals put forward during the meeting would be taken into account. They said that being aware of the honour of contributing to the epoch-making reforms in the Turkmen land afforded to it the Bouygues Company would meet the contractual obligations through employing its profound expertise and potential for these purposes.
