OREANDA-NEWS. March 28, 2008. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will pay a two-day official visit to Ukraine starting Thursday. He is expected to meet with President Viktor Yushchenko, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, and Speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk. The Polish and Ukrainian premiers are expected to sign bilateral agreements on local trans-border movement and cooperation ahead of the EURO-2012 Soccer Championships to be co-hosted by Ukraine and Poland.

Mr. Tusk will also meet with representatives of the Polish community in Ukraine and attend the inauguration of the Center for Polish and European Studies at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

The program of the visit also foresees flower-laying ceremonies at the Memorial to Victims of Ukraine's Holodomor Famine of 1932-1933 and at the victims of political repression at Bykovnia Tombs.
