Ukraine Government Approves Privatization Program till 2012
OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2008. The Cabinet endorsed the draft Law of Ukraine on State Privatization Program 2008-2012, Deputy Chairman of the State Property Fund Dmytro Parfenenko said.
The Government also approved the plans of stock floatation of the following energy generating companies: DniproEnergo, TserntrEnergo, ZakhidEnergo and DonbasEnergo.
Earlier, the Cabinet decided to include into a privatization list 60 percent +1 shareholding of OJSC DniproEnergo (face value of UAH 58,860 million), 60 percent +1 shareholding of OJSC DonbasEnergo (UAH 141,865.82 million.), 60 percent +1 shareholding of OJSC ZakhidEnergo (UAH 76,743.26 million), 60percent +1 shareholding of OJSC TsentrEnergo (1 USD - 5.05 UAH).
In February the NJSC Energy Company of Ukraine initiated sales of shareholdings of thermal power stations to a strategic investor.
Presently, the state through the NJSC Energy Company of Ukraine possesses 85.77 percent of DonbasEnergo, 70.1 percent of ZakhidEnergo, 76.04 percent of DniproEnergo and 78.29 percent of TsentrEnergo.
