OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2008. The Defense Ministry and Industrial Policy Ministry proceeded to implement a program on rearmament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Defense Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov told a governmental meeting. "We've agreed with the Industrial Policy Ministry to buy this year 20 "Bulat" tanks, continue designing "Oplot" tanks, the corvette-class ships, works at multi-purpose rocket systems, modernizing Mig-29 and Su-27 aircrafts," the Minister said.

He reminded once again about lack of financing saying the issue to amend the State Budget could be one of the main risks.
