Russia Amway Company Increased Sales Volume by Four Times
OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 March 2008 Amway announced the results of its third year of operation on the Russian market. Company’s sales volume in 2007 (from March 2007 till March 2008) amounted to about \\$400 mln, which is four times more, as compared to the results of the Company’s first year of operation in Russia. The number of Amway Independent Entrepreneurs (AIEs), who used the opportunity to build their own business with Amway, has also been steadily growing. Nowadays there are about 700,000 AIEs, working with Amway in Russia who purchase Amway products for personal or family use or sell them further to end consumers.
2007 Sales results of Alticor Inc., a parent company of Amway, which includes Amway Corp., Quixtar and Access Business Group amounted to \\$7,1 bln.
Today Amway offers on the Russian market over 300 premium health and beauty, as well as home care products, gradually expanding its product range. In 2007 Amway introduced on the market anti-aging ARTISTRY TIME DEFIANCE™ products, ARTISTRY™ color cosmetics, SATINIQUE™ hair care products, as well as new perfumes. "Russia is among the fifth top strategically important market for Amway in the world, - said Leszek Krecielewski, General Director of Amway Russia. – Due to the rapid business growth, the Company has made a decision to additionally invest about \\$90 mln into the Russian market during the period from 2008 till 2012,” – added Mr. Krecielewski.
At the present time there are 11 Amway Business Support Centers operating in 9 Russian cities (three in Moscow and one each in Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg, Samara, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Ekaterinburg, Khabarovsk and Krasnodar) and 3 Regional Logistic Centers in Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk and Rostov-on-Don. Amway Russia’s Head Office, Training Center and Main Logistic Center are located in Moscow. In 2008 the Company plans to launch two new Product Selection Centers in regions.
