OREANDA-NEWS. March 25, 2008. In 2007 Micro-Credit Bank financed the opening of almost 2,000 modern municipal service points as a part of the programme on organization of municipal service objects in rural areas, the bank's press service said.

This programme is being implemented by the Micro-Credit Bank jointly with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population.

The bank has also extended some 7.1 billion soums in micro-loans and provided micro-leasing services in the fields of hotel services, technical servicing of automobiles, hair-dressing, footwear repair, and medical services.

Over 5,000 new jobs were created with the help of these loans and leases.
