OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2008. Grand Prix “Best Television Project of the Year” of the Fourth National TV Contest Televershina went to the musical “Pavlinka New” directed by the ONT TV Company. The statuette “Televershina” was presented to the creative team by Belarusian information minister Vladimir Rusakevich. The ceremony was held in the Palace of Republic on March 24.

“Panorama” of the First Channel of the Belarusian Television and Radio Company was recognized the best news programme. “Konturi” (the Second National Channel) was awarded golden medal as the best publicistic programme.

“Gomel” Television and Radio Company won the category “Best Regional Project of the Year”. “Brest Television and Radio Company” was awarded the highest prize for the best news programme of the regional television. The golden medal for the best documentary went to the Second National Channel for their work “Soviet Union. Pages of History”. The programme “Sport-Shot” of the LAD TV Channel was recognized the best sports programme, while the programme “Equilibrium. Noise Pollution of Environment and its Consequences” produced by the First Channel received the golden medal as the best cultural and educating programme.

Irina Smolskaya from CTV became the best news presenter, while Oleg Romanov (ONT) was recognized the best presenter of the publicistic programme. Vadim Galygin claimed the first prize as the best presenter of the entertaining programme “Two Stars”, while VJ Lusya Lushchik was recognized the best by the viewers. The best host of the regional TV was Victoria Urbanovich from the Lida Television and Radio Company.

The creative team of the TV project “Light of Distant Star” (LAD) was awarded a special prize of the jury called “For the Allegiance to the Chosen Topic”.
