OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2008. Ukraine is initiating creation of a new transport corridor that will reduce ways between Asian and European countries. The new railway and automobile line will run 1,000 kilometers from the Montenegrin port of Bar, via Serbia and Romania, to the Zakarapttia village of Chernotysyv, merging with the already existing transport corridor. The issue was discussed by representatives of Ukraine, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro at the international conference in Uzhhorod.

It is planned that over two years experts will draw up the investment project and determine the cost of the transport corridor's construction and infrastructure.

The documents will be sent to the World Bank. In case of the positive decision, the new way will be commissioned in ten years. The road will save money and time of carriers.
