Moscow Will Put USD 23.7 Million for Reconstruction of Kuskovo
OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 March 2008 was announced, that the city authorities of Moscow plan to put \\$23.7 million into the reconstruction of a historic part of Kuskovo mansion during 2008-2010.
Nikolay Evtikhiev, prefect of the eastern administrative district of Moscow, said that a museum part of the mansion was in good condition but the adjacent areas were scrubby.
“Kuskovo is a symbolic object that is a pilgrimage of an enormous number of Muscovites and tourists. I think there isn’t a more beautiful place among the similar mansions in Moscow,” the prefect noted.
Mr Evtikhiev also emphasized that the city authorities of Moscow had made a decision to reconstruct the mansion.
The reconstruction work package priced at \\$23.7 million is to be carried out in Kuskovo during 2008-2010.
“A big volume of reconstruction work is to be done on the 10-ha site this year,” the official added and specified that it was planned to reconstruct the air theatre and the Italian garden, to beautify the Italian pond, to put up a bridge over the canal and to renew the lime trees paths.
