OREANDA-NEWS. March 21, 2008. Norilsk Nickel announces that its subsidiary has extended the deadline for submitting initial offers with respect to the sale of 1,920,826 ordinary shares (the "Shares") in OJSC Polyus Gold (the "Transaction"), which was previously announced on March 11, 2008.

The new deadline for receipt by UBS Investment Bank ("UBS") of initial offers for the Shares is 6:00 p.m. Moscow time on March 25, 2008. Interested bidders should contact the persons stated below at UBS in order to obtain more detailed information regarding qualification for, and participation in, the Transaction.
