Tuapse Seaport Starts Handling Vessels of Up to 12 Meters Long
OREANDA-NEWS. March 20, 2008. From January 2008, Tuapse Commercial Seaport OJSC started to handle vessels of up to 12 meters long and up to 90,000 tonnes in deadweight, the port’s press center reports. In 2007 RosMorPort FSUE implemented dredging works at the port’s water area and at the berths.
Tuapse Commercial Seaport OJSC is the main operator in the port of Tuapse, one of Russia’s largest ports. In 2007, its throughput totaled 19.6 million tonnes including 14.1 million tonnes of oil cargo and 5.5 million tonnes of general cargo. The company’s authorized capital totals RUR 165,548 divided into 165,548 ordinary shares with nominal value of RUR each. Major shareholders of Tuapse Commercial Seaport are NLMK (69.41%) and RosImushchestvo (25%).
