OREANDA-NEWS. March 19, 2008. The Gazprom Headquarters hosted an extended meeting of the Working Group for Cooperation between Gazprom and the Government of Sakha (Yakutia) co-chaired by Gennady Alekseev, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and Viktor Timoshilov, Head of the Eastern Projects Coordination Directorate of Gazprom.

Present at the meeting were representatives of Gazprom’s subsidiaries – VNIIGAZ, Promgaz, Mezhregiongaz, Sibur, Gazprom invest Vostok, Gazpromregiongaz, Gazprom pererabotka, Regiongazholding as well as Yuzhno-Yakutskaya Corporation and the Regional Policy Institute.

The meeting considered issues of interaction between Gazprom and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) concerning the development of gas processing and chemical facilities in the region.

The meeting scrutinized the progress in the preparation for signing of a bilateral accord on gasification of the Republic. A focus was also placed on the synchronization of activities carried out by Gazprom and the Government of the Republic as part of the Eastern Program execution.
