OREANDA-NEWS. March 19, 2008. The official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to the United Arab Emirates is being widely covered by the country’s mass media.

Al Ittihad newspaper published a large article on the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to the UAE. The article covers the reforms and achievements in the sociopolitical and economic spheres in Uzbekistan. It states that the visit should raise the bilateral relations to a new level.

Khaleej Times and Gulf News newspapers, as well as International Commercial News magazine also published articles on Uzbekistan and Uzbek-Arab relations.

The UAE press covered the Uzbek-Arab business forum held on 13 March in Dubai. At the forum, commerce and industry chambers of the two states signed a cooperation on agreement.
