OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2008. From the beginning of 2008 OJSC "Transsiberian Reinsurance Corporation" has made a number of large payments under contracts of reinsurance, signed by the Central office (Krasnoyarsk) and Far East bureau (Nahodka, Primorye Territory). The total sum on three largest payments has made more over USD 0.4 mln.

USD 0.3 mln, or 31,3 % from a total sum of the loss was paid by Central office to the insurance company "Trust" (Chelyabinsk, Russia). The insurance case has occurred to the barge followed on a route Osetrovo - Yakutsk. As a result of damage made by the ice, there was a leak and the significant roll was formed. The basic part of a cargo has descended for a board, and the barge has half sunk. The given payment became the largest in history of work of the Central office.

Large payments have been made under two contracts of the reinsurance, signed by the Far- Eastern bureau (Nahodka, Primorye Territory). The Khabarovsk insurance company "Spectrum Avia C" has received from Transsib Re reinsurance compensation of USD 0.07 mln that has made 70 % from a total sum of insurance payment under the given loss. The insurance case has occurred on October, 28th, last year, when as a result of a fire the industrial building has essentially suffered.

Transsib Re also paid 18% of the insurance compensation to its client ship-owner the insurance company "AKOMS" (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk). The total sum of the loss as a result of breakage of one of the main engines of a vessel has made USD 0.21 mln.
