Ukio Bankas Encourages Clients to Abandon Paper Bills
OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 March 2008 Ukio bankas announced an electronic banking campaign aimed at encouraging clients to abandon paper bills, receipts and other documents. By the campaign Let the Nature Breathe Freely – Use Eta bankas! Ukio bankas invites its clients to contribute, by their concrete actions, to the marking of the universal Earth Day (20 March).
During this campaign, the users of the Internet banking system Eta bankas will enjoy a 25 percent lower fee for local payment transfers in the litas. Eta bankas new users will be presented with a virtual MasterCard card, which can be used for safe online payments for goods and services and other payment transactions. This campaign will last until 14 April.
“It is important that everyone should mark the Earth Day, i. e. the beginning of astronomic spring, not only in word but also in deed. As a socially responsible business organization, Ukio bankas encourages people to abandon paper bills and offers using electronic banking services, which not only help save time but also preserve nature by reducing the need of paper, visits to the bank and other resources,” Balanda Bradulskienл, director of Ukio bankas Product Development Department, said.
Ukio bankas encourages clients to use e-banking services by other means as well. Everyone, having placed a time deposit via Eta bankas will earn a 0.1 percent higher annual interest.
In 2007 the number of Ukio bankas Internet banking system Eta bankas users jumped by 56 percent and exceeded 44 thousand.
