IDGC of Centre IT Directors Presented Reports at the Conference
OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 March 2008 was announced, that On 4-6 March, the V Annual Summit of Adam Smith Institute called "Corporate IT Strategies In Russia" took place in Moscow. Pavel Obukhov, Deputy General Director for IT and Management Technologies of IDGC of Centre, and Aleksey Chernikov, Director of Fainomika Ltd. presented their reports at the conference.
The summit of Adam Smith Institute is an elite action gathering the best Russian IT directors of the largest Russian companies. Many issues of modern IT spheres development were discussed at the summit. Requirements to CIO are high - today top management of the companies demands from the head of IT Service not simply introduction of information technologies, but their introduction in view of the company’s business targets. In other words, any IT project should be profitable or essentially reduce the arising risks, correspond to the general strategy of development of the company and promote achievement of business targets.
Against this background, IDGC of Centre, OJSC, has a productive experience in implementation of similar IT projects. Deputy General Director for IT and Management Technologies Pavel Obukhov and Director of the Fainomika consulting company Aleksey Chernikov presented their experience in the company's management system building with use of modern technologies and ARIS and SAP toolkits.
They said that the main task set in 2004 for IDGC-1 was efficient electricity transmission networks management on the territory of the Central Russia. Work on improvement of business processes in IDGC of Center was initiated directly from the moment of creation. The first project was connected with development of the strategic purposes and balanced scorecard building (BS).
In 2006 the company started optimization and unification of business processes within the limits of SAP R3 and quality management system introduction, for the purpose to pass to the company's process-focused management in 2007.
In May 2007, realization of the project on introduction of the automated system of business processes efficiency controlling on the basis of ARIS Process Performance Management (PPM) platform was completed in IDGC of Centre. It is the first similar breakthrough project in Russia which used advanced solutions and had a limited number of competing products all over the world. The international team included advisers of Fainomika, IB-Projekt and IDS Scheer companies from Russia, Germany and Austria engaged in its realization.
As a whole, more than 50 projects in various directions were realized in 2007. Today IDGC of Centre is the unique Russian company which successfully confirmed its compliance with the international standard and passed certification within the limits of ISO 9001:2000 under the specialized standard ISO 10006 "Quality Management. Quality Management At Project Management", and also conformity with the 2nd level of the model of the company organizational technological maturity in the field of project management.
