OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 March 2008 was announced, that the Networks Management Center (NMC) was set up in Yaroslavl with participation of General Director of IDGC of Centre Evgeniy Makarov, Governor of the Yaroslavl area Sergey Vakhrukov, Deputy Governor of the Yaroslavl area Andrey Epaneshnikov and Heads of Yarenergo.

Primary goal of NMC is Yarenergo electric network operating modes management providing maximum reliability and profitability of the network complex operation.

According to General Director of IDGC Centre Evgeniy Makarov, 'Establishment of a new networks management centre allows to react instantly to operation of our equipment, and malfunctions in power supplies. Reliability of electricity supply increases since reaction of the operation personnel raises’.
NMC was created according to the order of RAO UES of Russia on the basis of operative dispatching service (ODS) of the Yaroslavl Industrial Branch of Yarenergo for centralization of electricity network complex operative dispatching management of the Yaroslavl area.

'Introduced innovations are basic not only from the point of view of process management, but also in view of the prospect of networks management', said Governor of the Yaroslavl area Sergey Vakhrukov. 'This is what will allow in the further, by increasing networks amount, to provide reliability of electricity supply on the whole territory of the Yaroslavl area'.

Centralization of the operative dispatching offices functions in NMC in full will make management of the network complex of the Yaroslavl area more effective, will allow to provide an optimum repair mode and will operatively liquidate emergencies. Besides, NMC activity will allow to improve business processes of network services at transportation of electric energy, improve coordination of work of the electric network complex and thus help in performance of the main task that is to increase reliability of electricity supply of consumers. In February NMC carried out reception of functions of operative management by electric network facilities of JSC Yarenergo in operational service of the Yaroslavl Industrial Branch (IB). In the future NMC will receive functions of operative management from Rybinsk and Rostov IB of JSC Yarenergo.

At organization of NMC activity, new technologies were widely applied, including a unique system of display of the information on the videowall, operative measuring complex "Scada Sistel" that enables to see each substation and its state оn-line.
