OREANDA-NEWS. March 17, 2008. Installing the ASOKOPE system will cost 12 billion roubles. Russian Railways plans to involve the suburban passenger companies set up jointly by the Company and regional authorities to equip the stations affected with turnstiles.

According Mikhail Akulov, Vice-President of Russian Railways, in the future the Company will be able to control boarding access of about 85% of its passengers.

The Company planned to install turnstiles at more than 60 stations in the period from 2006 to 2008.
