Neman Pulp-and-Paper Mill Increases Turnover by 15 %
OREANDA-NEWS. March 14, 2008. The result of the VII Meeting of the Russian-Byelorussian Council for long-term cooperation of the Kaliningrad region with the regions, Ministries, and the Administration of the Byelorussian republic is the achieved agreement to increase the sales turnover. The Governor of the Kaliningrad region Georgy Boos and the Deputy Prime-Minister of the Byelorussian republic Andrey Kobiakov have signed the program for cooperation including the clause: “The development of direct bilateral contracts for the guaranteed volume of deliveries of pulp wood from Byelorussia”.
The Deputy President of “Bellesbumprom” Concern Alexander Nevedomsky and the Head of the Industry Department of Economy Ministry of the Kaliningrad region Nikolay Murashov have visited NPPM. “The Byelorussian enterprises are the permanent consumers of Neman papers and of wall-paper base first of all, and NPPM in return is the consumer of the pulp wood from Byelorussia. In 2007 the sales turnover between NPPM, the enterprises of Forestry Ministry of Byelorussia and the concern “Bellesbumprom” amounted to 350 million rubles. According to the results of the negotiations the mutual supplies will increase by 15 %”, the Commercial Director of the NWTC Vadim Kharitonov said.
