OREANDA-NEWS. March 13, 2008. From February 1, 2008 the bit rates were increased also on all effective no-limit tariff plans in regions covered by N.W.Telecom Karelian and Novgorod subsidiaries. The no-limit tariff plan line previously effective for Novgorod Subsidiary’s users changed as follows: Instead of the ADSL 56K, 110K, 220K, 330K, and 660K tariff plans, where the speed corresponded to the Kbit/s value indicated in their names, the ADSL 100K, 250K, 500K, 600K, and 1100K tariffs were introduced. For the subscribers of Petrozavodsk, the ADSL 100K, 250K, 500K, and 600K tariffs were introduced instead of the ADSL 56K, 110K, 220K, and 330K tariff plans.

Besides, from February 1, 2008, Karelian Subsidiary of N.W.Telecom expanded its Avangard service tariff plan line. In Petrozavodsk, it has become possible to connect to the service using the new ADSL 70K tariff. The new ADSL 56К tariff plan was started in the cities of Belomorsk, Kem’, Kondopoga, Medvezhyegorsk, Olonets, Pitkaranta, Segezha, Sortavala, and Suojarvi, and the town of Louhi.

From March 1, 2008, the speed on all effective no-limit tariff plans of the Avangard service was also increased for subscribers of Archangel Oblast and Leningrad Oblast subsidiary users. The access speed on the ADSL 64K tariff plan will now be 110 Kbit/s; on the ADSL 128K tariff plan, it will be increased to 220 Kbit/s, and on the ADSL 256K tariff plan, the access speed is increased to 330 Kbit/s. Besides, from March 1, 2008 Leningrad Oblast subsidiary of N.W.Telecom is offering a new no-limit tariff plan with the 660 Kbit/s access speed in the cities of Luga, Gatchina, Vsevolozhsk, Sosnovy Bor, and Vyborg.

From March 10, 2008, a new special offer known as “Develop Your Speed” will become effective for users of St. Petersburg subsidiary of N.W.Telecom. With this offer, the Internet access speed will be nearly doubled, with the subscriber fee remaining the same. The highest access speed on the Avangard tariff plans in St. Petersburg will be 3500 Kbit/s.

The access speed are increased automatically for the N.W.Telecom users who connected to Avangard service no-limit tariff plans before the effective date of the above changes. The subscriber fee will remain the same.
