OREANDA-NEWS. On March 13, 2008 President of ALROSA Sergey Vybornov had a meeting with Angola’s President Jose Eduardo dos Santos as part of the program of his working trip to Africa.

Sergey Vybornov briefed the President of Angola on the current status of the main ALROSA-Angolan joint projects in Angola: Catoca Mining Co., LUO-Camatchia-Camagico Mining Co., construction of hydropower plant on the Chikapa River.

The discussion centered on major issues of cooperation between ALROSA and the government of Angola in the areas of diamond mining, hydroelectric energy supply and exploration.

On the same day S. Vybornov had a series of meetings with the top management of some Angolan companies, including ENDIAMA and Sonangol.
