OREANDA-NEWS. On March 12, 2008 as part of his working trip to Africa ALROSA President Sergey Vybornov visited the Republic of Namibia.

The discussion with Namibia’s President H.E. Hifikepunye Pohamba, Prime Minister Mr. Nahas Angula and Minister of Foreign Affaires Mr. Marco Hausiku centered on cooperation prospects in the diamond mining, energy and construction sectors.

The expansion of economic cooperation with African countries is seen by ALROSA as one of its most important strategic directions. ALROSA seeks to enhance efficiency of its diamond mining joint ventures with African partners and expand its mineral resource base on this continent.
