OREANDA-NEWS. March 13, 2008. In 2007, total amount of agricultural insurance premiums collected by Soglassye grew three times compared to 2006 and reached RUR 420.5 mln. The company signed 3,484 insurance contracts. Contracts on property insurance of farmer and peasant holdings represent 70% of the total amount of premiums collected, thus the crop and animal insurance represent 10% and 20% respectively. The total amount of indemnity, paid by Soglassye under agricultural risk insurance contracts reached RUR 20 mln. in 2007. Soglassye is one of the leading insurance companies -participants of "Agribusiness Development" national project. It cooperates intensively with such financial entities of Russian agribusiness like Rosagroleasing, Russian Agricultural Bank (Rosselkhozbank), Sberbank of Russia and others.
