Kvazar-Micro Constructed Engineer Infrastructure of Delta Bank
OREANDA-NEWS. March 13, 2008. Kvazar-Micro Company, one of the leading system integrators in Eastern Europe and CIS countries, announces completion of the project of creation of fail-safe structured cabling system (SCS) and system of no-break power supply for data processing center (DPC) in commercial bank "Delta" - one of the largest participants of retail lending market in Ukraine. Within the project important systems that ensure functioning of the whole infrastructure of the bank were designed and constructed in the shortest possible time.
As a result of primary investigation carried out by specialists of Kvazar-Micro optimal technical solution was chosen on basis of two sources of uninterrupted power supply Symmetra PX 80kVA and two systems of distributed power supply. This solution allowed the specialists of Kvazar-Micro to construct a system of uninterruptible power supply in the shortest possible time that works 24/7 360 days a year and that ensures uninterrupted work of all the equipment of the bank. At that they have considered a number of factors and requirements on autonomy of power supply of definite work areas. In particular they managed to achieve complete autonomy of contact center, server room where mission-critical elements of server infrastructure of the bank and also of switch room with network equipment are located.
Aside from high fault tolerance constructed system of uninterruptible power supply has a number of features that facilitate exploitation, maintenance and development. Among them let’s distinguish remote control, monitoring and troubleshooting; easy integration of any new elements of architecture; possibility of receipt of consolidated information; automatic user notification about possible problems, correct automatic stopping and starting. After correspondent training the system can be managed by ordinary user, it reduces expenses for qualified personnel.
During design and construction of structured cabling system (SCS) within the project engineers of Kvazar-Micro considered to the maximum possible risks and also all architectural features of the building and strict customer’s requirements to location of work places. Created SCS supports bank’s channels of communication including corporate system of IP Telephony and high throughput of the system (10 Gb/s) is meant for connection of network application in future. At that system has such key features as easy scalability and maximum flexibility during redesigning.
According to Sergey Zorin, IT Department Director of CB "Delta", advantages of carried out solutions are first of all speed of implementation, quality, economy and flexibility. It became possible owing to experience and competence of Kvazar-Micro in construction of such systems.
Nikolay Fedorov, Director of department of building engineering systems of Kvazar-Micro notes that created solution corresponds to all requirements of NBU and international standards. And owing to high quality of components and guarantee for 25 years system does not need further investments and maintenance expenses.
