OREANDA-NEWS. On 13 March 2008 was announced, on March 11-14, 2008 Crocus Expo Exhibition Centre welcomes International industrial forum GeoForm+ 2008. The Forum is organized by MVK International Exhibition Company, Federal Agency of Geodesy and Cartography, Association of Transport Telematics, Association of Engineering Research in Building. The show is supported by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and Federal Agency for Surface Management. The Forum includes four specialized exhibitions:

GeoMap – geodesics, mapping, GIS, engineering investigations and projecting;

GeoWay – satellite navigation and intelligent transport systems;

GeoTECH – technologies and equipment for engineering geology and geophysics;

GeoTunnel – technologies and equipment for tunnels and underground facilities construction.

Over 100 Russian and foreign companies will participate in the exhibition. Among them are Leica Geosystems (Switzerland), Pentax Technologies Europe (Japan), Autodesk, GlobalSat, Tele Atlas, NAVTEQ B.V., Csoft, GPSCOM, Spot Image S.A., Data+, Credo-Dialogue, Racourse, Svarog, Covzond, Ural Optic and Mechanical Plant, EstiMap and others.

Highly-topical conference program of GeoForm+ 2008 will touch upon the core points of the represented industries. As a part of the Forum business program there will be held the 4th International Workshop ‘Geospatial Technologies and Field of Their Application’. During the conference they plan to discuss theoretical and practical aspects of geospatial, information and measuring systems and technologies; problems and prospects for organization of complex engineering research (geodesic, geological, ecological); projecting, building and reconstruction of buildings and constructions; information and engineering territory management including town and land planning; navigation support of transport systems (automobile, railway, air, sea and river) including cartographic and information support of automobile transport.

Another international seminar ‘Satellite Navigation and Monitoring in Russia: Top Technologies and Prospects for Development. Global Navigation Satellite Systems GLONASS and NAVSTAR (GPS)’ is to become a prominent event.

During the seminar software, cartographic and navigation systems manufacturers will focus upon top technological trends and development prospects for their companies and the market in general. As for the individual visitors and mass media, they will be able to ask the manufacturers and dealers anything they are concerned about. The aims of the seminar are to review high technologies and products introduced by the most prominent companies, prospects for development of Russian satellite navigation and services in 2008/2009 and form a professional union of navigation technologies manufacturers.
