OREANDA-NEWS. On 07 March 2008 was announced, that the event took place in the Еxpo Athens centre from February14-18 under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of Greece. For the first time Baltika had its own stand at the Greek national exhibition.

Visitors were able to sample packaged beer of the brands Baltika, Arsenalnoye, Zhigulevskoye and Yarpivo on the Company stand. Three other sections of the Athens show presented exhibits in the categories of food products, industrial and processing equipment.

The exhibition in Athens offers professional participants broad possibilities to expand their partnership relations, to meet with major suppliers and retailers, and to see technical innovations in equipment for the food industry. Last year more than 650 companies participated and there were around 38,000 visitors.

Baltika Breweries has been supplying its products to Greece since 2000. At present the entire line-up of the Baltika brand is present on the market, as well as Arsenalnoye, Zhigulevskoye and Yarpivo. During the first 9 months of 2007, sales of the Baltika brand in Greece grew by 54% compared to the same period in 2006.

Each year Baltika Breweries takes part in more than 20 exhibitions in countries abroad. Participation in national and international exhibitions is viewed by the Company as one of the important channels for promoting its products and the image of Baltika abroad. During seven years of export activity, Baltika has established deliveries to countries around the world and has maintained high rates of growth in export sales of 15-20% per annum.
