OREANDA-NEWS. March 11, 2008. Last year the air route was established between Egypt and Uzbekistan.

It has allowed creating conditions to establish closer relations between the two countries and opened bigger prospects in the sphere of extending both business and tourism.

With an aim to elaborate the joint measures to attract as much tourists as possible from both sides the Apollo tours, the largest Egyptian firm which is specialized in rendering the tourist services, has organized meeting with the Uzbek tour operators in December 2007 in Egypt. Now that dialogue continued in Tashkent. The initiators and organizers of the meeting are the Uzbekiston Havo Yullari National Air Company, Uzbektourism National Company and the Embassy of Egypt to Uzbekistan.

 “About 20 Uzbek tour operators and three largest tourist companies of Egypt took part at the event”, - the senior expert at the commercial department of Uzbekiston Havo Yullari Bakhodir Nurmatov has said. “They have discussed a number of organizational issues the resolution of which would promote the rise of quality of tourist services”.

 “Such meetings promote to acquire the first-hand information”, - the Director General of Apollo tours Alaa Aref has said. “We are glad to receive your citizens in our country. Besides, the Egyptian people are becoming increasingly interested in Uzbekistan”.
